Adobe Flash is an excellent program for adding animations, sounds, interactive web pages, and graphics. You saw some flash examples on the Landing page. However, too much of a good thing soon becomes time consuming and distracting and can drive away visitors.
The example to the right gives important information, is attractive, and not too flashy or long. This Flash program probably should be the only one on the page. It can be made smaller or larger depending on the page size and with or without sound.
The Flash movie to the right is a great example of how Flash can add interaction to your web site. The viewer can control what they want to see and it spotlights the artist's work without overpowering the viewer. Click on a small picture to see a larger picture. Text can be added to each picture telling the size, name, price, etc.
Flash buttons can add interest and usability to your web page. The size, shape, animation and sounds are almost limitless. Move your mouse over the buttons on the right and then click your mouse button to see what happens. Each of these buttons were designed and created in Flash CS4.
Sometimes you want the visitor to choose if they want to be interactive. Rather than have the flash movie start automatically, you can put in a start button and give the internet traveler the choice to play or not to play. Click the start button on the flash movie to the right and get ready to get down!
